Perfect Timing with ChronoTrack
State of the art ChronoTrack systems will be used to record your times at start, on the course and at the finish. You will receive your true time from start line to finish line.
The ChronoTrack system uses a UHF RFID disposable tag that allows you to walk away after the finish without the need to have your tag collected. Live Web Results are available on the Elite Racing web site, where family and friends may track your progress during the race. Unofficial results will be listed minutes after your finish.
Your tag is on the bib and is labeled with a # which matches your bib #. Follow the instructions in your registration packet or at the sample shoe station, to place the tag securely on your shoe. At the expo when you pick up your bib, please check that your bib has your correct name, sex and age and tag #. Proceed to Solutions if any information is incorrect.
You will receive a 5K, 10K and 10-mile split time. All age group awards will be determined by chip time, but in accordance with USATF rules, all prize money awards and age group records will be determined by gun time.

Corral System
A corral system assures a smooth start to your race. You will be assigned a race number and corresponding corral based on your projected finishing time - the faster your time, the closer your corral will be to the start line.
- Each corral will have 1,000 numbers assigned and will be labeled accordingly (i.e.: Corral One is for numbers 1000-1999).
- At 7:30 a.m., you will be invited to enter your corral. Please enter ONLY the corral that corresponds with your race number. DO NOT attempt to enter a lower or "faster" corral.
- There may be more than one corral for a specified finishing time (i.e. there are several 2 1/2 hour corrals).
- All corrals are co-ed.
If you believe that you have been assigned to the wrong corral, pick up your race number, then proceed to the Corral Change table in the Packet Pick-Up area of the Expo. There will be NO corral changes race morning.
Gear Bag Drop Off
All participants may check their gear at the start at the Gear Check tent located on San Fernando Street between Almaden Avenue and San Pedro Street, approximately one block from the start and one block from the finish.
The Gear Check tent will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. Your gear bag will remain in the tent at all times during the race. Pick your bag up in the same location you dropped it off. If you do not pick up your bag by 1:15 p.m., it will be transported back to the Elite Racing office in San Diego and mailed to the owner 2-4 weeks after the race.
Please do not check keys, money or other valuables. The event is not liable for any lost or misplaced items.
Finish Line Festival
The Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon will finish in a secured area at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in downtown San Jose. Once you cross the finish line, there will be Aquafina water and Cytomax, iced towels, finisher medals, and refreshments.

Please plan to meet your family in this area. It is advisable to discuss a reunion plan with your friends and family prior to the race.
